The "Pom-pom" Drama Club for the youngsters

As a part of the Culture Association the drama section was formed in 2003. The first presentation was the dramatisation of a popular tale from Elek Benedek. This play turned out to be a very succesful dramatisation because they won several prizes and appreciations in Torda and in the finals of the Drama clubs contest in Csoka.

The drama section activity is not only focused on children's play. Its main aim is to develop basic skills and abilities, such as proper speech, liberated motion, imagination, inventivness, concentrations, the development of independence, all in all a complete development of personality. Children did not realize that they are actually learning until they get into conflict with someone. In these situations we talk about the moral and we demonstrate the right behaviour.

The starting point in dramatizations is always a piece of work of literature or folk literature. At the moment we are working on a play based on a tale "Mátyás király és a szép molnárlány". In this drama generation problems, parental forbindness, love, poverty, generosity, unselfishness come up. We practise this play until there is nothing else to learn about and then we are going on stage to show what we have learned , hoping that we can give something to our young audience.
